The Citation X is the fastest civil aircraft a Palm Beach client can charter, cruising at Mach 0.90 and above, and on the long westbound legs this market flies in winter that speed is worth real time. Eight to twelve seats and 3,460 nautical miles from Trump International.
Textron built the Citation X with a highly swept wing and two Rolls-Royce AE3007C engines, giving it a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935, the fastest of any civil aircraft in production when it was built. It seats eight to twelve passengers with 3,460 nautical miles of range at a normal cruise around 525 knots. The later Citation X+ extended range and updated the flight deck. Every Citation X / 10 we arrange flies with an operator certified under FAR Part 135, the FAA rules for on-demand, for-hire charter.

Why the Citation X / 10 Fits Palm Beach
West Palm Beach to Van Nuys at roughly 2,030 nautical miles is where the speed pays. Against a Challenger 300 on the same route the Citation X saves close to half an hour, and on a day when the client flies out, works and flies back, that margin comes off both ends.
The narrow cabin is the trade against a Challenger or a Latitude. It is a fast aircraft built around a slim fuselage, and eight passengers on a 4-hour leg feel it more than they would in a flat-floor super midsize. We say that plainly at quote stage.
For the Caribbean it has range to spare: Barbados at about 1,420 nautical miles, Antigua at about 1,170, St Barts at about 1,090. Landing permits and handling arrangements for those islands are applied for after the trip is booked and the aircraft is confirmed.

Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Industry hourly rates for the Citation X / 10 run $6,500 to $8,500 per hour as of 9/2026. Actual quotes vary by operator, routing, positioning, and date.
The Citation X quotes at approximately $6,500 to $8,500 per hour as of 9/2026, in line with the Challenger 350. On the longest Palm Beach legs its speed can shorten block time enough that the trip total comes in below a slower aircraft at the same rate.
