Bombardier Challenger 3500

The Bombardier Challenger 3500 is the current production version of the Challenger 350, and in Palm Beach it goes to clients who want the newest cabin in the super midsize class. Nine to ten seats, 3,400 nautical miles, and an interior redesigned around the parts of the flight passengers actually touch.

Bombardier updated the Challenger 350 into the 3500 with a new cabin design, including a voice-controlled cabin management system, wireless charging at each seat and the Nuage seat with a tilting base. The airframe, the two Honeywell HTF7350 engines and the around 470-knot cruise carry over, with range extended to 3,400 nautical miles. It entered service in 2022.

Why the Bombardier Challenger 3500 Fits Palm Beach

The extra 200 nautical miles over the Challenger 350 matters on westbound transcontinental legs in winter. West Palm Beach to Van Nuys at roughly 2,030 nautical miles is inside both aircraft, but with a headwind and a full cabin the 3500 has more margin and is less likely to need a fuel stop.

Cabin age is the real reason clients here pay the difference. A Palm Beach family office booking a 4-hour flight to Colorado or a 3-hour run to the Caribbean with principals aboard often wants the newest interior available in the class, and the 3500 is currently that aircraft.

The fleet is young and small, so it books up early. For a January through April Palm Beach departure we recommend committing well ahead, and we will price a Challenger 350 alongside it so you can see the actual availability rather than a hypothetical one.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
