Super Light Jets

Super light jets give Palm Beach clients a real cabin without moving into midsize money. Six to ten seats, 1,840 to 2,560 nautical miles, and better short-field behavior than most of the light fleet. They suit the client who flies the same route often and wants the extra half hour of comfort in each direction.

Typical Aircraft

The Embraer Phenom 300 is the most available aircraft in the category and usually the first quote we send. The Pilatus PC-24 is the one to ask about when the destination field is short. The Learjet 45 and Learjet 75 seat up to nine and cruise fast. The Westwind I and Westwind II are the older and roomier option, and the Westwind II reaches 2,560 nautical miles, the longest in the group.

When Super Light Jets Fit the Palm Beach Trip

Georgetown, Exuma (MYEF) is a straightforward super light jet run from Palm Beach, and the range margin over a light jet means no fuel planning drama on the return. Witham Field in Stuart (KSUA) works for clients in Hobe Sound, on Jupiter Island and up the Port St. Lucie corridor. In the summer shoulder, once the island empties out, this category handles Nantucket (ACK) without difficulty.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Charter Pricing Reference

Across the 6 super light jets listed on this page, industry hourly rates run $3,500 to $5,800 per hour as of 9/2026. Each aircraft page carries its own rate. Actual quotes vary by operator, routing, positioning, and date.

Palm Beach Patterns We Plan Around

Palm Beach runs on a calendar, and we plan around it. The season opens in November and holds through April, with December to March the sharpest stretch: the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington from January into late March, the charity gala circuit through February, the Palm Beach International Boat Show in mid-March, and polo finals running into April. Those weeks book out early, and much of the aircraft that winters here is already committed to owners who are in town. Summer is the other half of the picture. Hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30 and peaks in September, and summer afternoons build convective weather along the coast most days, so morning departures are the clean window in those months. Your operator checks current weather and airspace notices before every departure, and we tell you early when a departure time looks tight.

Winter Equestrian Festival weeks in Wellington, January into late March, pull a lot of this category into the market. Owners and trainers move between shows on short notice, and the Phenom 300 fleet is the first thing to disappear. From June through September the same aircraft are easier to hold and the hourly rate has more room in it.
