The Westwind II is the longer-legged version of the same Israeli twinjet, and from Palm Beach the extra 700 nautical miles is the reason to pay the difference. It still seats up to ten, and at 2,560 nautical miles it reaches Denver, Aspen and the eastern Caribbean nonstop.
Israel Aerospace Industries improved the Westwind I with a new wing section and winglets to create the Westwind II, raising range to 2,560 nautical miles and cruise to around 424 knots. It seats seven to ten passengers behind the same two General Electric CJ610 turbofans. Like the Westwind I, it is a legacy platform and the operator’s current standing carries the weight in vetting. Every Westwind II we arrange flies with an operator certified under FAR Part 135, the FAA rules for on-demand, for-hire charter.

Why the Westwind II Fits Palm Beach
The range gain is the reason to pick the II. West Palm Beach to Aspen at about 1,540 nautical miles, Denver at about 1,460 and Antigua at about 1,170 are all single legs in a Westwind II and none of them are in a Westwind I. For a Palm Beach family with a ski house and ten people to move, that changes the trip.
Ten seats at this rate still applies. On a Bahamas group run to Nassau at about 170 nautical miles or Georgetown Exuma at about 300, the Westwind II moves a full party for less per seat than two smaller jets, and it does it in one departure slot rather than two.
It is faster than the Westwind I at around 424 knots, so on a 1,500-nautical-mile leg to Colorado the block time is meaningfully shorter. On a 30-minute island hop the two are indistinguishable and the cheaper aircraft is the right answer.

Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

The Westwind II quotes at approximately $3,500 to $4,500 per hour as of 9/2026, the same band as the Westwind I. When the trip needs the extra range, there is rarely a reason to book the earlier aircraft at the same rate.
