The Cessna Citation Hemisphere was announced as a large-cabin business jet seating 12 to 19 with a projected 4,500-nautical-mile range, which would have suited the Palm Beach group and family-office market well. As of 2026 the program has not entered commercial service, and the aircraft is not available for charter anywhere. Anyone offering you one is offering you something that does not exist.
Textron Aviation announced the Hemisphere at the 2016 National Business Aviation Association convention as the largest aircraft in the Citation family, designed around Rolls-Royce Pearl 15 engines and the widest cabin Cessna had built. The projected numbers were 12 to 19 seats, roughly 4,500 nautical miles of range and about 516 knots of cruise. The program has since stalled, and no production aircraft has been certified or delivered. Every Cessna Citation Hemisphere we arrange flies with an operator certified under FAR Part 135, the FAA rules for on-demand, for-hire charter.

Why the Cessna Citation Hemisphere Fits Palm Beach
The announced specification would have fitted this market closely: large family groups arriving for the season, Wellington horse owners traveling with staff, and family offices moving twelve or more people between Palm Beach and the Northeast on one aircraft.
Until the type is certified and operators put it on a charter certificate, no one can legally sell you a seat or a trip on it. If you are planning a large-group heavy jet trip from Palm Beach now, the aircraft that actually fly it are the Dassault Falcon 900 series, the Gulfstream III and IV families and the Bombardier Challenger 650.
We track the Hemisphere’s certification status. If it reaches service and operators enter the charter market, we will have current availability and pricing at that point.

Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
