Award Shows

Award season brings a concentrated stretch of travel between Los Angeles, New York, and Nashville for talent, publicists, stylists, and the production teams who support them. Palm Beach Jet Charter arranges private flights for entertainers and industry professionals based in or visiting South Florida who need to reach the Academy Awards, the Grammys, the Emmys, or any of the major industry events on their calendar.

The Award Season Calendar

January through April concentrates the major American awards events within a few months. A performer nominated in multiple categories may need to be in Los Angeles and New York within the same week. Charter handles those moves without the exposure of a commercial terminal or the inflexibility of an airline schedule.

Departures from President Donald J. Trump International Airport (KDJT) reach Los Angeles in approximately five hours on a midsize or large-cabin jet. For clients based south of West Palm Beach, Boca Raton Airport (KBCT) is a practical alternative that reduces the ground drive.

Privacy and Timing

Award show travel demands discretion and schedule precision. The acceptance speech cannot wait because the group flight to LAX was overbooked. Charter removes that variable entirely. The departure time belongs to the client, and the arrival is at a private terminal, not a commercial gate surrounded by photographers.

Styling and Wardrobe

Award show travel often involves garment bags, styling cases, and accessories that do not travel well in checked luggage. Cabin storage on a private jet keeps wardrobe items with the passenger throughout the flight.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Palm Beach Patterns We Plan Around

Palm Beach runs on a calendar, and we plan around it. The season opens in November and holds through April, with December to March the sharpest stretch: the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington from January into late March, the charity gala circuit through February, the Palm Beach International Boat Show in mid-March, and polo finals running into April. Those weeks book out early, and much of the aircraft that winters here is already committed to owners who are in town. Summer is the other half of the picture. Hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30 and peaks in September, and summer afternoons build convective weather along the coast most days, so morning departures are the clean window in those months. Your operator checks current weather and airspace notices before every departure, and we tell you early when a departure time looks tight.

Customs is worth settling early on anything international. President Donald J. Trump International is an airport of entry, while Boca Raton runs a user fee facility on set daytime hours from Thursday through Monday rather than around the clock. Palm Beach also carries standing federal airspace restrictions tied to the Mar-a-Lago estate, which your advisor factors into departure and arrival timing. Whether a particular aircraft can use a particular airport on your date is the operator’s performance calculation for that aircraft, that weight and that day.
